Benny Walker’s new album “Through The Forest” is out in early March. We have been rehearsing and gearing up for the release. We’ve got some fun shows coming up:

Sat/Sun 14-15th Feb – Canberra Multicultural Festival (Benny Walker and The Family Tree)
Here are some pics of my p bass on the road. Nothing sounds better than a p bass through a fridge with a tube amp.
Jack Stratton (member of uber cool band Vulfpeck) is responsible for this visualisation of James Jamerson’s bass line on Stevie Wonder’s “For Once In My Life”. The song was written by Ron Miller & Orlando Murden for Motown Records and Stevie Wonder’s version was released in 1967.
This is my favourite Jamerson line. The whole thing is cooking’. He burns through the changes with the deepest sense of groove I’ve ever heard. Hope you enjoy.
I’m excited to be playing with 2 bands at the Mordialloc Festival on the 28th of February. I’m lucky enough to be doing a set with Sal Kimber and the Rolling Wheel as well as Benny Walker.

Sunday 8th of Feb I’ll be hitting the stage at St Kilda Festival with Benny Walker.
This Monday I’ll be playing with Benny Walker at Yabun Festival in Sydney.
It is the largest one day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in the country.
Looking forward to celebrating the oldest living culture on earth.

Been rehearsing our set for Homeground in Sydney this weekend. Rehearsals are sounding good. Looking forward to this one.
Happy To announce that I’ll be playing with Benny Walker supporting Dan Sultan as part of Melbourne’s Zoo Twilights.
All Zoo Twilights proceeds help Zoos Victoria fight wildlife extinction and their campaign to save the Eastern Barred Bandicoot.
Benny is also playing up at Taronga Zoo in March.
